Pipeline Operations

HPCL operates 5,132 Km of Cross-Country Petroleum Product Pipelines network for transportation of MS, HSD, SKO, LPG and ATF. This network comprises of 3,957 Km of product pipeline and 1006 Km of LPG pipeline. Capacity of the product pipeline network is 31.11 MMTPA and that of LPG pipeline is 4.1 MMTPA. Pipeline network of HPCL is currently spanning various states/UTs viz. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

In addition to this we have;

  • A 363 Km long Petronet Mangalore Hassan Bangalore Pipeline of capacity 5.0 MMTPA which is owned and operated by Petronet MHB Limited a joint venture company of ONGC and HPCL commissioned on 01st August 03.
  • Also, Mumbai Uran Chakan Shikrapur LPG Pipeline which a Joint Investment between HPCL & BPCL. 169 Km UCSPL section of capacity 1.0 MMTPA was commissioned and operated by HPCL & 28 Km MUPL section of capacity 0.8 MMTPA was commissioned and operated by BPCL.

Mumbai Pune Solapur Pipeline originates from Mumbai and terminates at Pakni (Solapur, Maharashtra). The pipeline is passing through the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Pune, Satara, Sangli and Solapur in the state of Maharashtra. It is having dispatch station at Trombay (Mumbai) and pumping stations at Vashi (Navi Mumbai), Khopoli (Dist. Raigad), Talegaon (Dist. Pune) and Loni (Dist. Pune). The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel and Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminals at Vashi, Loni, Hazarwadi (Sangli) and Pakni.

Visakh Vijayawada Secunderabad Pipeline originates from Visakhapatnam and terminates at Ghatkeshar (Dist. Medchal Malkajgiri). The pipeline is passing through the districts of Vishakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna (all in Andhra Pradesh), Suriapeta, Nalgonda, Yadadri Bhuvanagri and Medchal Malkajgiri (all in Telegana). It is having a dispatch station at Vishakhapatnam and pumping stations at M B Patnam (Visakhapatnam), Rajahmundry (Dist. East Godavari), J K Gudem (Dist. West Godavari), Vijayawada (Dist. Krishna), Suriapet (Dist. Suryapeta) and Bogaram (Dist. Medchal Malkajgiri). The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel, Superior Kerosene Oil & Aviation Turbine Fuel to marketing terminals at Rajahmundry, Vijaywada, Suriapet and Ghatkesar.

Mundra-Delhi Pipeline originates from Mundra (Dist Kutch) and terminates at Bahadurgarh (Dist. Jhajjar). The pipeline passes through the districts of Kutch, Patan, Banaskantha (all in Gujrat), Sirohi, Pali, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar (all in Rajasthan), Rewari and Jhajjar (all in Haryana). It is having dispatch station at Mundra and pumping stations at Bachau (Dist. Kutch), Santalpur (Dist-Patan), Palanpur (Dist. Banaskantha), Pindwara (Dist. Sirohi) Awa (Dist-Pali), Ajmer and Jaipur. The pipeline is feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminals at Palanpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Rewari and Bahadurgarh.

  • Awa Salawas Pipeline (ASPL)

    Awa Salawas Pipeline originates from Awa Pumping Station of Mundra Delhi Pipeline and terminates at Salawas (Dist. Jodhpur). It passes through the districts Pali and Jodhpur. The pipeline is having pumping station at Awa (Dist. Pali). The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminal at Salawas. It is a branchline of MDPL.

  • Palanpur Vadodara Pipeline (PVPL)

    Palanpur Vadodara Pipeline originates from Palanpur (Dist. Banaskantha) and terminates at Vadodara. It is passing through the districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha, Kheda, Anand and Vadodara. The pipeline is having pumping station at Palanpur. The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminal at Vadodara. It is a branchline of MDPL.

  • Rewari Kanpur Pipeline (RKPL)

    Rewari-Kanpur Pipeline originates from Rewari (Haryana state) and terminates at Kanpur. The pipeline passes through the districts of Rewari (Haryana State), Alwar, Bharatpur (All Rajasthan State), Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya and Kanpur Dehat (all Uttar Pradesh State). It is having pumping station at Rewari. The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminals at Bharatpur, Mathura and Kanpur. It is a branchline of MDPL.

Ramanmandi-Bahadurgarh Pipeline originates from Ramanmandi (Dist. Bathinda) and terminates at Bahadurgarh (Dist. Jhajjar). The pipeline is passing through the districts of Batinda (Punjab), Sirsa, Mansa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Rohtak and Jhajjar (all in Haryana). It is having dispatch station at Ramanmandi and pumping station at Barwala (Dist. Hisar) The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminal at Bahadurgarh.

Barwala Hisar Pipeline (BHPL) are two parallel dedicated Pipelines of 16” Dia×10 km HSD pipeline & 14” Dia×10 km MS pipeline laid from dispatch station inside Barwala (Haryana) to Hisar (Haryana) in District Hisar.

  • Bahadurgarh Tikrikalan Pipeline (BTPL)

    Bahadurgarh Tikrikalan Pipeline originates from Bahadurgarh Terminal (Dist. Jhajjar, Haryana) of Mundra Delhi Pipeline and Terminates at Tikrikalan (Dist. West Delhi). It comprises of two numbers of pipelines which are used a dedicated pipeline for transportation of MS and HSD. It is having pumping station at Bahadurgarh. The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel to marketing terminal at Tikrikalan. It is spurline of RBPL.

Ramanmandi-Bhatinda Pipeline originates from Ramanmandi (Dist. Bathinda) and terminates at Bathinda. It is having dispatch station at Ramanmandi. The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminal at Batinda.

Black Oil Pipeline originates from Mumbai Refinery and terminates at Vashi (Navi Mumbai). The pipeline is having dispatch station at Mumbai Refinery. It feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminal at Vashi.

ATF pipeline transports Aviation Turbine Fuel from Mumbai Refinery to Mumbai Airport. The pipeline is having pumping station at Mumbai Refinery.

Lube Base Oil Pipeline from Trombay to Wadibunder transports Lube Oil from HPCL Mahul Refinery to Sewree, Mazgaon and Wadibunder Lubes Terminals. The pipeline is having pumping station at Mumbai Refinery. It also connects Lube Oil Refinery at Mumbai to Pirpau Jetty of MbPT for coastal movement of Lube Base Oil.

Petronet Mangalore Hassan Bangalore Pipeline is owned and operated by Petronet MHB Limited, a joint venture company of ONGC and HPCL. The pipeline originates from Mangalore (Dist. Dakshina Kannada) and terminates at Devangunthi (Dist. Bangalore Rural). The pipeline passes through districts of Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan,Mandya, Tumkur, Bangalore Rural & Bangalore Urban. It is having dispatch station at Mangalore and pumping station at Neriya (Dist. Dakshina Kannada) and Hassan. The pipeline feeds Motor Spirit, High Speed Diesel & Superior Kerosene Oil to marketing terminals at Hassan and Devangunthi.

Mangalore-Hassan-Mysore-Yediyur LPG Pipeline originates from Mangalore (Dist. Dakshin Kannada) and terminates at Mysore & Yediyur (Dist. Tumkur). The pipeline is passing through the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagaluru,, Hassan,Mandya, Tumkur and Mysore. The pipeline is having dispatch station at Mangalore. It feeds LPG to Bottling Plants at Mysore and Yediyur.

Hassan to Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline is a capacity augmentation of the existing MHMBPL and originates from Hassan (Karnataka), terminates at Cherlapalli (Telangana State) and passes through Anantpur (Andhra Pradesh). HCPL is having a pumping station at Hassan & Anantpur. It feeds LPG to bottling plants at Anantpur and Cherlapalli.

Uran-Chakan-Shikrapur LPG Pipeline originates from Uran (Dist. Raigad) and terminates at Chakan (Dist. Pune) & Shikrapur (Dist. Pune). The pipeline passes through Raigad and Pune districts. It is having dispatch station at Uran. The pipeline feeds LPG to Bottling Plants at Chakan (HPCL & IOCL) and Shikrapur (BPCL). This pipeline is a joint investment between HPCL and BPCL. Uran-Chakan-Shikrapur Pipeline was commisioned and operated by HPCL.

Mumbai Uran LPG Pipeline originates from Mumbai and terminates at Uran (Dist. Raigad). This pipeline is a joint investment between HPCL and BPCL. Mumbai Uran LPG Pipeline was commissioned and operated by BPCL.
